Silent Cards

Complete guide to Silent cards in Slay the Spire 2 — all attacks, skills, powers, costs, rarities and synergies.

The Silent is a swift, precise character who relies on Poison, Shivs, and card draw to control the battlefield. In Slay the Spire 2, the Silent's card pool rewards careful planning and synergistic combinations, offering one of the highest skill ceilings in the game.

Poison is the Silent's signature mechanic. Cards like Poisoned Stab, Deadly Poison, and Bouncing Flask apply poison, which deals increasing damage every turn. Powerful catalysts like Catalyst multiply poison stacks, allowing the Silent to eliminate even the toughest bosses through exponential poison damage. Noxious Fumes and Crippling Cloud provide area-of-effect poison applications that scale well into the late game.

Shivs — zero-cost attack cards generated by cards like Blade Dance, Cloak and Dagger, and Infinite Blades — form the Silent's second major archetype. With Strength scaling through cards like Accuracy and Finisher, Shivs can deal substantial damage while leaving energy for defensive options. This archetype pairs exceptionally well with card draw, allowing the Silent to cycle through her deck rapidly.

The Silent excels at card manipulation. Backflip, Acrobatics, and Prepared provide exceptional card draw and discard synergy. Tools of the Trade, a powerful power, offers ongoing card filtering. Discard synergies through Tactician, Reflex, and Eviscerate reward clever hand management, turning discards into energy, cards, or damage.

Defensively, the Silent relies on Dexterity and evasion. Piercing Wail and Leg Sweep apply Weak, while Dodge and Roll, Blur, and After Image provide block or intangible benefits. Wraith Form, an extremely powerful rare, provides intangible for multiple turns — often considered one of the best cards in the game at high ascension levels.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best Silent deck archetype?

Poison scaling with Catalyst is widely considered the strongest Silent strategy. One well-timed Catalyst can turn 10 poison into 50+ damage per turn. Shiv-based dex/strength builds with Accuracy are also extremely strong. For high ascension players, Wraith Form + Well-Laid Plans control decks are top-tier.

Which Silent cards should I upgrade first?

Upgrade priorities for Silent: Survivor (gains 11 block instead of 8), Neutralize (applies 2 Weak instead of 1), and key poison cards like Catalyst or Noxious Fumes. Footwork (Dexterity +2 instead of +1) is also a high-priority upgrade. Wraith Form is a must-upgrade if you have it.

How many attacks should a Silent deck have?

Unlike the Ironclad, the Silent can succeed with relatively few attack cards — often 4-8 is sufficient. Poison and Shivs deal damage over time or through generated cards, reducing the need for drawn attacks. Focus on defense and scaling, and let your poison or Shiv output handle damage.

Is discard synergy worth building around?

Yes, especially with Tactician (gain energy on discard) and Reflex (draw cards on discard). Combined with Acrobatics and Prepared, discard loops create massive card flow and energy generation. Eviscerate becomes extremely cheap in discard-heavy decks, often costing 0 energy for 20+ damage.
