Afflictions are adverse modifications enemies apply to your cards during combat. Unlike Exhaust, these corruptions persist in your deck after the fight ends.
How afflictions work
Certain enemies can apply afflictions that add negative effects to cards in your hand or draw pile.
Afflictions can add cost, reduce damage, or add conditional drawbacks. They can be removed at shops or by specific events.
If left untreated, afflictions pile up and significantly weaken your deck over long acts.
Managing afflictions
Priority 1: Prevent the affliction (kill the enemy doing it, block the effect). Priority 2: Remove it at the next shop.
Some builds are more resilient to afflictions β exhaust-heavy Ironclad decks naturally shed corrupted cards.
