Card Reward Priority

A simple method for choosing between three cards.

BeginnerBeginner

Every reward asks one question: what problem does my deck fail to solve right now? Pick the card that fixes the most urgent problem with the lowest setup cost.

The four problems

Most decks need answers to four things: front-loaded damage, consistent block, scaling for long fights, and card draw or energy to access the right cards. Identify which one is missing before reading the reward.

Skip more often after the deck works

Early skips are rare because your starter deck is weak. Later, skipping is a real choice. A mediocre card that does not solve a problem makes every future draw slightly worse.

Upgrade text matters

Some cards are average before upgrade and excellent after. If you have a campfire soon, the upgraded version should influence the pick. If you need power immediately, judge the unupgraded card first.
